Data-driven Buyer to Supply Chain
Do you want to be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for our business as well as play a decisive role in establishing good relationships with our suppliers? Now you have the chance, as we are looking for a data-driven and detail-oriented Buyer to join our European Supply Chain Team at our facilities in Hobro. You will be a part of small, but close-knitted purchasing team who are reporting to our Team Lead of Purchasing.
As a buyer in our Supply Chain, you are responsible for the procurement in BPSE, which means that you in collaboration with the rest of the purchasing team will create, oversee and update purchasing orders to ensure that they are aligned with forecasts and demands as well as establish strong relationships with suppliers.
Not limited hereto, but you should expect your main responsibilities to be within the following areas:
- Establish relationships with suppliers, participate in relevant business reviews and supplier performance monitoring.
- Follow-up of placement of purchase orders (POs) with suppliers, triggered by production requests or requisitions generated by Operational Planning
- Follow-up on confirmation dates, shipment dates and tracking of goods in transit.
- Constant alignment of the PO backlog to secure on-time shipments and deliveries.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (i.e., Operational Planning, Customer Order Desk, Product Management, Data Management, Warehouses etc.)
- Analyze MRP in relation to requirements of the commodity including lead-time, order size and lastly securing supplier is delivering in relation to the latest Technical Purchasing Specification (TPS)
- Be aware of non-conforming materials and implement corrective actions.
- Establish processes to ensure commodity is delivered on schedule at the negotiated price and meets the quality standards of the company.
- Responsible for the control of orders, amendments, shipping notices and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
- Minimize inventory values and always secure/optimize the inventory/supply chain.
- Evaluate material usage and initiates BOM changes, and process improvements as needed.

Who are you?
We are open towards your background, but we do expect that you either have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience from a similar position or you have an educational background within Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing Management, Business Administration or similar.
Preferably, you have a strong technical knowledge and experience working with technical products. However, we are open towards your level of technical experience provided you have a natural flair and interest for technical products. You have a solid knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX or other ERP system as well as intermediate Excel skills. If you have experience with Oracle, this is considered an advantage.
You have a strong analytical approach, and it comes natural to you to make data-driven decisions and use facts and numbers as a base for discussion and decision making. You have strong problem-solving skills with a well-organized and process driven work method. You have good market insights and are a strong communicator who have a natural understanding of the importance of building valued relationships with suppliers and internally. You thrive in a dynamic workday where you deliver high quality results in a time-constrained environment due to your strong ability to prioritize, execute and meet deadlines.
You speak and write English at a professional level, but it would also be considered a huge advantage that you also talk and write Danish.
