To further support, develop and elevate our financial reporting, project administration and cost tracking we are looking for a data-driven and structured Financial Project Coordinator to join our European team. You will be an integral part of the finance team, but several of your assignments will also be within our market development department. You will report directly to our CFO, who resides in Canada, but like the rest of your colleagues within the finance team you will be working at our European Headquarter in Hobro.
As a Financial Project Coordinator, you will work with a wide range of assignments within finance such as budgeting, financial management, risk management and cost tracking. You liaison with stakeholders where you are to collaborate with key personnel to meet financial objectives and ensure alignment with senior management. In addition, you work closely with our Market Development Department, where your assignments will be centered around the financial analysis of Ballard Europe’s projects, general project administration as well as financial reports and filings to EU using the EU Project Participants Portal.
Not limited hereto, but you should expect your main responsibilities to be within the following areas:
- Financial reporting and general financial project administration e.g., providing regular updates on the project's financial status and analyzing data for trends.
- Working with EU Project Participants Portal in relation to IKAA processes, audits, financial validations etc.
- Cost tracking to monitor expenses against the budget and ensure addressing of discrepancies.
- Financial analysis to evaluate project viability and conducting cost-benefit analyses.
- Monthly prognoses for time registration
- Risk management to identify and strategize against potential financial risks.
- Liaison with stakeholders where you are to collaborate with key personnel to meet financial objectives and ensure alignment with senior management.
- Compliance to ensure adherence to financial regulations and organizational policies.
- Financial documentation to maintain organized financial records.
- Training and development where you educate the team on financial best practices.
- Assisting in financial audits and support of the implementation of recommendations.

Who are you?
You probably have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a closely related field combined with 3-5 years of experience from a similar role within finance or administrative project support.
You have experience with Axapta and it an experienced user of Excel. It is considered as an advantage if you have experience with updating and generating reports in PowerBI. If you have experience with EU Funding and Tender Portal (EU Project Participants Portal) this is considered as a huge advantage, but it is not a requirement, and we will support you in using the platform.
You hold a key role between finance and market development, for which reason it is essential that you communicate effectively verbally and in writing, in both Danish and English.
You have a strong analytical approach, and it comes natural to you to make data-driven decisions and use facts and numbers as a base for discussion and decision making. You have strong problem-solving skills with a well-organized and process driven work method. In addition to your data-driven approach, you have strong interpersonal skills, and you are good at establishing and maintaining good working relationships with your co-workers and relevant stakeholders. It comes natural to you to be a team-player and meets everyone with a positive and professional attitude.
